Tom Tykwer et Johnny Klimek retrouvent Lana Wachowski après "Cloud Atlas" (2013), et succèdent à Don Davis sur la saga Matrix, 19 ans après "The Matrix Revolutions" (2003). La partition conventionnelle mêlant l'orchestre et l'electronique soutient l'action sur un rythme trépidant, avec des instants de répits, puis se termine dans une dimension épique avec des choeurs.
